Welcome to Cordex’s privacy policy!  This is a policy written by Cordex Intelligence Limited (referred to collectively in this privacy policy as “Cordex” or “we”, “us” and “our”).  This privacy policy (referred to “Privacy Policy”) describes how we and our other group companies collect, use, process and share information that Cordex collects about you.   The content of this document may change from time to time to protect our users and customers.  So please visit this page every now and then to make sure you are familiar with the latest version.  Any new policy will be effective from the date it is published by us.

This Privacy Policy applies to all of our mobile application and software development on mobile devices, personal computers and digital devices.  Cordex, as a data controller, provides and develop Cordex’s product, mobile applications, software and websites (together referred as “Services”) according to this Privacy Policy.  In the other word, all Cordex Services are governed by this Privacy Policy. By using or accessing a Service, you give consent to the processing, use and disclosure of your data.  Please do not install or use the Service if you do not agree to this Privacy Policy.  Cordex reserves the right to modify this Privacy Policy.  Your continued use of Services will signify your acceptance of the changes to this Privacy Policy.

How We Collect Your Data

We collect information from a number of different sources, the data you make available to Cordex include, but are not limited to: (i) by using or accessing our Services, (ii) Service registration, (iii) subscribing to newsletters, (iv) purchasing a product or services within the app (or “in-app purchase”), (v) contacting customer service and requesting technical support and (vi) through use of Cordex Services where personal data is required for use and/or participation.

Cordex mainly intends to utilize the collected data for Analytics in order to improve the quality of existing and developing Services provided to users and customers.  The collected data may also be supplemented with data received from third parties in order for with demographic, market, analytics survey and services to take place.

Mobile Analytics

 

Cordex may use analytics software to enhance the understanding of how users interact with our Services on your device.  The analytics may help us to improve our existing Services continuously and provide better Services in the future.  This software may record data such as how often you use the application, the interactions that occur within the Services, aggregated usage, performance and registration data.  We do not relate any personal information you submit to us within our Services to the analytics.

Third Party Services

 

Our Services may involve third party tools from our service providers in related to the data, for example of which include, but not limited to Google Analytics.  The third party may use cookies, APIs and SDKs in our Services to enable information collection and analytics on our behalf.  Our Services and Privacy Policy does not cover the use of tools from third parties and Cordex do not have control over these third parties.  In connection with such use, certain data may be transferred automatically to third parties and Cordex is not liable for any such third parties’ use of your data.

How We Use Information

 

The information collected will be stored via Amazon Web Services based in Singapore and third parties on servers and equipment.  Cordex collects information with primary goals to create your account, provide more thorough Services to you, continuously improve the Services, contact you, conduct research and create analysis.  The use of information may also include, but not limited to:

1. Create your account, activate the Services and provide Services to you

2. Check and deactivate the registered devices

3. Maintain the healthiness of your account

4. Operate and improve the Services

5. Comprehend your interaction with the Services and your preferences to help us improve your experience and enjoyment.

6. Communicate with you about our Services and your feedback

7. Respond to your request, comments and enquiries and provide customer services

8. Combine the collected information with other information from third parties to better the Services.

Disclosure and Transfer of Information and Personal Data

 

Cordex may use third parties to collect and process information and personal data on Cordex’s behalf.  Cordex is not liable for the acts and omissions of these third parties. 

 

We may cooperate with other companies and individuals to perform Services on our behalf.  For example, analyzing data and providing customer support.  In the cooperation of such, the companies and individual may have access to your personal data and information in order to improve the existing Services.

 

Information and personal data may be released to other parties, companies and organizations as permitted by law, or when we reasonably believe that the release is appropriate to comply with the law.

 

We may transfer information and your personal data where the data is an anonymous and aggregated basis and users as individual cannot be personally identified.  We may transfer data when we reasonably believe it is necessary in order to provide the Services to you, improve the Services and enhance user satisfaction using the Services.

 

If there is a sale of the Cordex’s asset, Services or corporate restructuring, data may be transferred.  Any parties to which Cordex transfers of sells Cordex’s assets will have the right to continue to use the data that you provide to us.

Cordex take reasonable measures to protect your information and personal data from unauthorized access or against loss, misuse or alteration by third parties.

 

Although Cordex make good faith and efforts to store the information in a secure operating environment, Cordex cannot guarantee the absolute security during the transmission and storage of the information.  Cordex try to ensure and maintain the integrity and security of our network and systems, yet, we cannot guarantee that our security measures will prevent all hackers from attacking and accessing our Services and obtain the information.  We do not warrant or represent that your information will be protected against, loss, misuse or alteration by third parties.

Safeguards

 

Cordex implements reasonable safeguards to try to ensure the security and privacy of the information in Cordex’s possession.  Cordex follows generally accepted industry standards and has the faith and integrity to keep the data safe and use it only in the way mentioned in this Privacy Policy.

Children’s Privacy

 

Cordex understands to provide extra privacy protections to users who are children or under the age of 13.  Thus, Cordex Services and features does not involve social networking plug-ins, targeted advertising, and user identifiable data collection.  As a result, data associated with the mentioned features is not available to both Cordex and third parties selected by Cordex. 

 

Cordex Services and products designed for children may require the parental attention, especially when the Services are under registration and activation, or where the personal information is required.  The personal information is only used as an identifier to ensure the users has the right access to our Services.  For example, users who obtain the activation code from purchasing the products have the access to other game modes available in the version packaged with the products.  Cordex does not require additional personal information to provide the Services apart from such mentioned in “How We Collect Your Data”.  Cordex also uses method known as “email plus” to obtain the parental verifiable consent, which an email is sent to the user email address while registration and parents respond with their consent.  A direct notice will be presented in our Services in various ways, for example, popped up when first opening the mobile application, if Cordex made any changes to the privacy policy.

 

Users or user’s parents have the ongoing rights to review the personal information collected, revoke their consent and request to delete the personal information.  However, the events may lead to the termination of the Services if the information at issue is reasonably necessary for the participation in the Services.  To enquire, please contact us at info@cordex.com.hk.
